These Terms of Use govern your use of the Million Tails mobile application and website (milliontails.com). By using Million Tails, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Million Tails is a free community app that allows members of the public to report stray animals, log feeding activity, report missing pets, and connect with others who care about animal welfare in their local area.
Million Tails is a community tool — it is not a licensed animal rescue service, veterinary service, or emergency response service. All reports are user-submitted and we cannot guarantee their accuracy.
Million Tails is available to anyone aged 13 or older. By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account with others.
Million Tails relies on honest, good-faith contributions from its community. By using the app, you agree not to:
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these rules and to ban users who repeatedly or seriously breach them.
When you submit a report, photo, or any other content to Million Tails, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and distribute that content within the app and on our website for the purpose of operating the service.
You retain ownership of your content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any photos or information you upload.
All animal reports on Million Tails are submitted by community members. We do not verify the accuracy of reports. Million Tails is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-submitted content.
If you act on information from Million Tails — for example, going to a location to help an animal — you do so at your own risk.
Nothing in Million Tails constitutes veterinary, legal, or professional advice. If an animal is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical attention, please contact your local animal welfare authority or emergency services.
We aim to keep Million Tails available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.
Million Tails is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including reliance on user-submitted reports.
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Million Tails after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
We may also change, suspend, or discontinue features of the app at any time without notice.
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
