Million Tails is a community app for reporting, finding, and helping stray and missing animals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

Your information is stored and processed using Google Firebase (Firestore database and authentication), which is our backend infrastructure provider. Firebase is operated by Google LLC and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

Animal reports you submit are visible to other members of the community. This includes the animal's description, photo, and approximate location.

Your display name may appear alongside reports and community activity you submit. Your city is shown on your profile only if you choose to enable it. Your username and bio may be visible to other members if you choose to add them.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the app. Animal reports are kept to maintain community history even after they are resolved.

If you would like to request deletion of your account and personal information, please contact us at hello@milliontails.com. We will process eligible deletion requests within 30 days, subject to information we may need to retain for legal, safety, security, or community record-keeping purposes.

Million Tails is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers with industry-standard security. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
